An independent · networked · Afro-centric practice
PIMVirg is an independent commercial practice with a collective way of working. We think with, curate across and accompany the people and institutions already shaping change — bringing feminist and Afro-centric enquiry into purposeful relationship with technical advisory, commercial discipline and the everyday work of implementation.
Independent in structure. Collective in practice. Fluid by design.
Why PIMVirg exists
Much of what is necessary is already present — but too often unrecognised, disconnected, undervalued or constrained. Our work is as practical as it is intellectual: connecting strategy, people, governance, delivery and impact, undergirded by accountability and co-creation.
The usual starting point
Where we begin
Communities, movements and institutions already hold knowledge, relationships, cultural and material resources, political intelligence, memory and practices of mutual accountability. The task is to recognise, connect, contest, distribute and enlarge capacities that expand potential impact.
Our philosophy
Decolonisation dismantles colonial structures. Unslaving asks what remains captive in our imagination even after those structures appear to have changed — then co-creates pathways to impact and success, intersectional by design and grounded in shared values.
Fields of practice
Mutually informing fields, not sequential departments. A movement may open a new possibility; an unexpected intersection may demand a new strategy; institution-building may reveal what communities already know.
P
Expand what can be imagined
Futures thinking, scenario building, historical memory and research in conversation with the lived priorities of communities — honest about what is resourced and attainable.

Develop ecosystems and curate capabilities
More than event facilitation: recognising existing actors and assets, clarifying roles and power, and supporting collaboration that persists beyond the convening.

Embolden what is already in motion
Work, people and contexts are not linear. Interconnected challenges demand interconnected solutions — across sectors, people and knowledge. We accompany; we don’t own.

Explore Movement →The concierge operating model
We diagnose the real enquiry, recognise capability already present, curate the missing relationships or expertise and build a fit-for-purpose way of working — independently, inside an existing collective, or by convening ideas, people and resources.

Every engagement is scoped with you, from a two-hour thought partnership to a longer accompaniment.
Commercial acumen, accountable delivery
We work across grant-funded, membership-based, movement-led, fee-for-service, philanthropic and hybrid resource logics — asking how each affects purpose, agency, resilience and the distribution of risk.
Services
Commission a single capability, bundle related interventions, or build a longer relationship.
The invitation
An institution confronting the limits of its own model. A movement already in motion. A community of practice in search of deeper relationship. A promising idea lacking the right people or structure. An inherited strategy that no longer tells the whole story.
We offer neither a prefabricated answer nor a claim to be the centre of the work — but the capacity to ask differently, connect deliberately and make the work practicable.
